Kicking the Habit

Ther're many reasons to kick the habit. I have a personal commitment to help people quit smoking and believe it should be a service offered by all community pharmacists. Immediately (within 30 minutes!) notice your blood pressure drop to the level it was before tobacco use Within 30 days, breathing will become easier because lung function is improving.   After 9 months, any cough will subside and continued easier breathing will be noted Around 1 year, the risk of heart disease is cut in half! After 10 years of being smoke free – the risk of lung cancer is reduced by one-half.
